Terms of use
Last updated 5 November 2026
The short version: use the site, spill honestly, check hours before you go, and tell us if something's wrong. Questions? Email arnold@spillthefeed.com.au.
1. About these terms
Spill the Feed is run by Apollo Minds in Melbourne, Victoria. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. How we handle your personal information is covered in the privacy policy.
2. What the site is
A free guide to where Melbourne's food creators and real diners say is worth eating. Rankings come from public creator posts, Google data and reviews from people like you. It's a recommendation, not a guarantee.
3. Check before you go
Addresses, opening hours, prices and ratings come from Google and creators, and they change. We do our best to keep things accurate, but we can't promise every detail is right or current. Check with the venue before you head out, especially for allergies and dietary needs.
4. Writing a review
When you spill on a place, you agree that:
- It's your own honest experience of a place you actually went to.
- You weren't paid, gifted or hosted for it, and you don't own, work for or compete with the venue.
- It contains nothing abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, or anyone's personal details.
- You use a real email address that you control. One review per person per place.
You keep ownership of what you write. You give us a free, ongoing licence to show it on the site and use it in rankings and the newsletter. We may hold, edit for length, or remove reviews that break these rules or look like part of a coordinated push. You can ask us to remove your review at any time.
5. Paid content and independence
Nobody can pay to be ranked or featured. Creator posts that look paid, gifted or hosted are labelled and don't count toward the rankings. If we ever run advertising or partnerships, they'll be clearly marked and kept out of the rankings.
6. Creator content and takedowns
We link to and summarise public posts from food creators, credit them by their public handle and send people back to the original post. Their videos and photos stay theirs.
If you're a creator, venue or rights holder and want something changed or taken down, email arnold@spillthefeed.com.au with the link and what you'd like done. We aim to act within 5 business days. Creators can also ask to be left out of future collection entirely.
7. Fair use of the site
Please don't scrape the site in bulk, try to get around the bot checks, submit fake or automated reviews or suggestions, or do anything that disrupts the site for others. We can block access for anyone who does.
8. Our content
The site's design, rankings, summaries and branding belong to Apollo Minds. Feel free to share links and quote short bits with credit. Google data, maps and photos are provided under Google's terms and remain Google's.
9. Liability
The site is provided as is and for free. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for loss from relying on the site, including a bad meal, a closed venue or a long queue.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
