They tried the Wagyu and Chicken Katsu burgers, and the Signature Wagyu was the creator’s favourite: smoky, juicy, and full of Japanese flavours.
The Ebi Katsu shrimp burger had good tartare but felt too bready and was hard to finish. The creator enjoyed the juicy Wagyu Cheese burger and the Japanese flavours, though they wanted a more buttery bun and thought the bread-to-meat ratio was too high overall.
The creator loved the soft buns, juicy meat and crisp, tender katsu, and said the drinks were great. They recommend going before 1 pm to avoid the queue.
Their score: signature wagyu: 10/10
They highly recommend the Wagyu Menchi Cheese Katsu Burger and say the Okonomiyaki Fries were flavourful and worth ordering. The matcha was disappointing and they’d skip it.
The creator loved the smoky, juicy beef patty and praised the bold Japanese-inspired fillings and flavours across the burgers. They found the bun unremarkable and noted the signature cheeseburger could get wet underneath.
Honestly, their Signature Wagyu Cheese Burger is AMAZING! 🍔🔥 One of the best burgers we’ve had in Melbourne! The wagyu patty was juicy, full of flavour and cooked perfectly with a nice charred around the edges. We also loved the Crispy Mushroom Burger with an added wagyu patty, the Okonomi Fries and the delicious Strawberry Float! Such a great little Japanese-inspired burger spot with a fun atmosphere, friendly vibes and seriously good food. We visited with the kids and everyone loved it! Definitely worth checking out if you love a good burger. We’ll absolutely be back! ❤️
3 stars for food and service (coz it’s all self self). Let’s talk about the burgers. Ordered the popular wagyu burger with double patties. The meat is good being wagyu but .. that’s it? Seasoning was a real light touch, not until I almost finish the burger, I tasted both the yuzu seasoning and some pickle! Where was both on my burger? The karaage chicken was beautiful. Fried well, tender and seasoned well. Comes with its own mayonnaise sauce, which pairs well. Atmosphere is very cool, with orange lighting giving the z gen vibe, so overall ok but not good.
New Japanese-style burger spot in Southbank! The Signature Wagyu Double Cheese was super juicy and flavourful, and the Wagyu Menchi Katsu was crispy on the outside and tender inside. The Ebi burger was also delicious, with a lighter, fresher taste. Loved the chicken karaage and Yuzu Strawberry Fizz too. Great spot to try if you like rich Japanese-inspired flavours, but expect a queue during peak hours!
