The French toast cinnamon scroll with mascarpone, crispy maple bacon and miso butter was ferociously sweet, with the bacon balancing it out. The blueberry version with compote was swimming in syrup and called “bloody lovely”; the creator said the scrolls were an insane new evolution.
The post features French toast cinnamon scrolls from the bakery, but gives no verdict.
The creator loved the soft, fresh scrolls, praising the Mont Blanc scroll for tasting like the drink and the French toast scroll as a sweet breakfast-style treat. They also raved about the crispy-based salt bread, especially the egg mayo filling, and said the bakery was worth visiting.
They tried the bakery’s creative cinnamon swirl flavours, including hot honey pepperoni and a banana special. The savoury swirl tasted like an amplified bacon-and-cheese scroll and pizza, while the centre was soft and gooey, though one reviewer found theirs a little chewy and would have preferred it softer.
Their score: 8.3; 7.8
The creator says they’re still thinking about the cinnamon scrolls, suggesting they really enjoyed them.
The Mont Blanc cinnamon scroll was soft and pillowy, with the perfect amount of cream. The creator says it did not disappoint and recommends trying the cafe.
The classic cinnamon roll was mediocre, and the creator wasn’t a fan of its icing. They liked the cheese on the hot honey pepperoni roll and especially enjoyed the banana filling in the banoffee roll, though they wanted more caramelised flavour in the toffee. The dough was soft and cakey, with thick layers.
Their score: classic cinnamon: 2.5/5; hot honey pepperoni: 3/5; banoffee: 4/5
The post features Mont Blanc cinnamon scrolls, but gives no further opinion on the food.
The creator highlights the bakery’s huge, fluffy scrolls, which sell out daily, and mentions flavours including Mont Blanc, banoffee, cinnamon, and Vegemite and cheese. They recommend adding it to your list.
A little gem and almost a hole in the wall in South Melbourne. We came for a cinnamon scroll and a coffee. Rather than take it home i had to give it a taste. OMG!!!! The scroll was delicate and buttery and not overly sweet. This made it hard to stop! This is hands down the best scroll i have had since the craze started. Tge server was friendly and told me about the flavours before I could ask. Music was playing softly in the background so a nice atmosphere too.
Such a great little find in South Melbourne! The cinnamon scrolls are seriously delicious, with the flavours hitting just right. They’ve also got a great variety of sweet and savoury options, so there’s plenty to choose from. Definitely worth checking out! 🤤
Walked past and saw a lot of people lining up. It was really busy, so I was keen to try. Ordered the Banoffee and Mont Blanc, the scroll was fluffy and tasty. A bit sweet for me, but still really good, especially paired with a long black coffee. Staff were friendly and the place has a good atmosphere. Recommend.
