The creator names Aubergine Rôtie as a must-try.
The creator praised the tender, flavourful duck, steak tartare, seared tuna and pork, escargot brioche, and tomato salad. They also enjoyed the red wine poached pear and Parisian iced tea, calling Frenchie stylish and seriously good value, though they’d skip the cheese board and found the caviar bump questionable value.
Their score: 7.5/10
The escargot brioche, seared tuna and Brussels sprouts were dishes the creator would order again; the caviar bump, clams, steak and gnocchi were nice to try once. They’d visit more often if it were easier to book or walk in, and didn’t think it was worth waiting a few months for a table.
The food was hit and miss, with an equal number of dishes liked and disliked. They found it fun to try once but didn’t think they’d go back.
Their score: 3/5
The creator was surprised that items including a caviar bump and steak were $14 each, with fries at $7, and called it a steal.
The creator said the dishes were packed with flavour, though the portions were small. They especially loved the peppercorn tuna and its sauce, found the steak tender and the crab delicious, and thought the oysters were very small.
Their score: Parisian Iced Tea: 7.5/10; Steak: 8/10; Peppercorn Tuna: 9/10; Blue Swimmer Crab: 8/10; Sydney Fresh Rock Oysters: 6.5/10
The creator was thoroughly impressed, praising the food and the casual, shareable format with every menu item capped at $14. They especially recommend the beef cheek and duck confit, while the oysters were not a favourite because the ice overpowered them.
Their score: beef cheek: 10/10; confit duck leg: 10/10
The creator enjoyed the food, especially the duck confit, éclairs with liver parfait and Brussels sprouts, and said the portions were decent. The steak was their least favourite, though they praised the service and said the restaurant was worth the wait.
Most dishes were pretty good, though not especially mind-blowing, and portions are on the small side. The creator says it’s worth visiting to sample a range of dishes; everything is $14.
The creator loved the food, calling the steak tartare perfection and praising the Brussels sprouts, desserts and other small plates. They found the experience fun and impressive, especially for the price, and said it was worth the hype.
Lively French eatery featuring a popular $14 small-plate concept and shared bistro classics.
Summarized with Gemini · ReportWe had such a lovely evening here! The food was absolutely fantastic, the atmosphere was warm and lively, and we had such a great time chatting and enjoying the night. A special thank you to Ross. His service was excellent. He was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Everything was so good that the only problem was… we probably ate too much! 😂 Great food, great service, great atmosphere — a really happy and enjoyable night. We’ll definitely be back!
The food , the atmosphere , the service, the value , the experience… all five stars . We came here to celebrate together, you sure helped us doing so. Definitely will be back .
The vibe was inviting and good for dinner. Me and my fried enjoyed the food so much. We really liked the girl serving us. She got very nice smile and patient to explain to us as it was our first time eating at Frenchie. She was the one with long hair and the usher told us she was new. Thank you for everything. What a great experience last night.
