The creator praised the freshly baked focaccia and delicious fillings, saying the mortadella was their favourite and that it was worth the hype. They also recommended the lemon tiramisu.
The creator enjoyed the focaccia sandwiches, praising the soft, airy bread and generous fillings. Madonna Mortadella and The Wooden Spoon were favourites, and the chicken nuggets stood out for being made with juicy chicken breast.
The creator recommends the new focaccia sandwiches, especially the chicken cordon bleu and mortadella. They love the focaccia’s fluffy, airy texture and say the Nona size is huge.
They enjoyed the crunchy, soft layers of the pastrami focaccia and especially loved The Wooden Spoon chicken cotoletta sandwich, saying they would get it again. They also praised the crunchy chips and liked the tiramisu’s strong coffee flavour.
The venue is releasing focaccia tomorrow, and the creator sounds excited about it, asking who else is lining up this week.
The chicken parmigiana was cheesy and full of flavour, while the capacollo was fresh and the meatball sub was tasty, though they wished it had more crunch. They also loved the Nutella sandwich.
They tried the Back Hander and Ball Breaker sandwiches, a Nutella Sangaweech, and classic and pistachio tiramisu. They said they could see why the place has been getting so much attention.
They enjoyed the fresh bread and ingredients in both hefty sandwiches: the chicken was tender with a strong tomato and basil flavor, while the salami sandwich felt fresh and lighter with peppers. The pesto-crumb nuggets were crispy but a little dry, and they also tried tiramisu and a Freddo cappuccino.
The creator enjoyed both Italian sandwiches, praising their flavours and the pork-and-fennel sausage with potato. They also liked the creamy tiramisu and tiramisu iced latte, and said the spot was worth the hype, though they would have liked more sauce on the sandwiches.
The creator praised the sandwiches for their fresh, nicely toasted bread, balanced flavours and carefully layered fillings. They especially enjoyed the chicken Parma and Backhander, and also liked the tiramisu and chips.
The creator thought the sandwiches were decent overall, but found the bread dense or too bready, and said the Ball Breaker needed better meatball distribution. They enjoyed the chicken sandwich but wanted a thicker piece of chicken, and felt the long wait wasn’t worth it.
Their score: The Backhander: 8.7/10; Padre Prosciutto: 5/10; The Ball Breaker: 6.9/10; The Wooden Spoon: 9.1/10
The creator thought the Ballbreaker meatball sandwich was just okay and said to skip it, but enjoyed the Backhander and especially the Wooden Spoon. They called the Limonata Shake a must and praised it as tasting like a lemon tart.
Their score: Ballbreaker: 5.5/10; Backhander: 7.5/10; Wooden Spoon: 8/10; Limonata: 8.5; overall: 7.3/10
The sandwiches were stacked and made fresh in front of you. The creator’s favourite was the Wooden Spoon, though they found the bread very crusty—almost too crusty for their taste—and encouraged people to visit.
The creator says the chicken gnocchi sandwich was loaded and praises the nostalgic, Nonna’s-kitchen feel. They also mention classic tiramisu and say the deli is a must-try.
Casual Italian fast-food venue serving authentic sandwiches made with fresh ingredients and tiramisu.
Summarized with Gemini · ReportJust Yum! 😋 🥪 there was a line out the door and a short wait but well worth it. We had the prosciutto one which was awesome, the meats and cheese are all shaved to order which make it soo fresh. Highly recommend grabbing some lunch here if you’re in the area and the line is worth the wait!
Ordered the Leather Belt Mamma Size ($17). Unfortunately it felt quite dry and lacked a bit of salad for freshness. Chicken cotoletta was crispy. Bread had a nice crisp outer and soft inside. Hand cut chips ($7.5) would have been amazing if hot, unfortunately they were lukewarm. Good flavour but taste quite oily when cool. Really wanted to love this as a fan of Johnny, Vince and Sam's and the SooshiMango team. I'm sure they will continue to improve. Unfortunately as a takeaway joint, a lot of paper waste is generated. Would be nice to have a dine in option. Service was friendly. Ordering process was quick and they take your name and number and send an SMS once ready. I waited 20 mins on a weekday lunch.
Delicious food and great service Although there is still a queue out the door it moved fast and there was a staff member out front guiding everyone and handing out menus. Can't wait to come back and try more
